‪The Roar From Brazil Fans After Gabriel Jesus’ Goal Was Deafening - FootyNews.co.uk

Brazil fans let out the sort of roar that you won’t have heard in a long time when Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring against Argentina.

The Manchester City striker put the Selecao 1-0 up 19 minutes into the Copa America semi-final, finishing powerfully into the roof of the net after great work from captain Dani Alves and Roberto Firmino down the right flank.

And when Jesus found the net and wheeled away in celebration, the home fans in attendance created a deafening noise in Belo Horizonte.

Not many do better goal celebrations than the Brazilians. Just pure passion for football.

Jesus lapped it up and rubbed salt in the wounds by performing the same celebration his City striker partner Sergio Aguero does when he finds the net. No chill.

The hosts were belting out their national anthem with such pride prior to the game, which was predictably a fiesty affair. Leandro Paredes and Philippe Coutinho had beef early on, while Nico Tagliafico and Marcos Acuna were both booked in the first half for Albiceleste.

Helped by the rabid home support. Brazil had much more intensity than their opponents in the first half and were good value for their lead.

Argentina, however, did come incredibly close to pulling level when Sergio Aguero’s header hit the bar from Lionel Messi’s free-kick.
