Barca Fans Applaud Liverpool's Post-Match 'You'll Never Walk Alone'
Liverpool had just completed a stunning Champions League comeback and following the full-time whistle, the club’s famous anthem rang around the stadium.
Anfield’s electric atmosphere spurred Liverpool on to victory with Jurgen Klopp’s side overturning a three-goal deficit to reach the Champions League final.
The Reds beat Barcelona 4-0 on the night and Arsene Wenger believes Anfield played a massive part in their victory.
“In Europe they do well. Why? Anfield,” the ex-Arsenal manager said.
“[For a] home game, this is the most heated stadium in Europe in a return game. It is the only place you don’t want to go.
“The atmosphere – everything – is special there.”
Liverpool‘s German boss was also full of praise for Anfield.
“We know this club is the mix of atmosphere, emotion, desire and football quality,” he said.
“Cut off one and it doesn’t work – we know that. I’ve said it before. If I have to describe this club then it’s a big heart and tonight it was obviously like crazy, pounding like crazy.
“You could hear it and probably feel it all over the world. I’m so happy we could give the people this experience and I’m really happy about having another chance to get things right from our point of view.”
