Emiliano Sala's Dog Waited Outside Her Owner's Wake To Say Goodbye

Emiliano Sala's Dog Waited Outside Her Owner's Wake To Say Goodbye - FootyNews.co.uk

Emiliano Sala’s friends and family paid tribute to the late footballer this week in his native Argentina.

A wake was held in Sala’s hometown of Progreso on Saturday morning, with Cardiff manager Neil Warnock being one of the thousands who lined the streets to bid farewell.

Sala’s dog Nala was also in attendance, with a heartbreaking clip of her waiting patiently outside the venue emerging online.

Romina Sala, the sister of Emiliano, posted a truly heartbreaking image on social media before he was eventually found in the wreckage.

She shared a picture of Nala staring out into the distance. It was captioned with the powerful message: “Nala is waiting for you, too…”

It’s clear that Emiliano Sala and his dog had a very strong bond. According to the Daily Mirror, she was one of the reasons why the Cardiff City player had returned to France.

He was preparing arrangements to have Nala come to Wales with him.

Earlier this month the HM Coroner for Dorset confirmed that the missing body recovered from the plane was Emiliano Sala.

The former Nantes star and the 59-year-old pilot were travelling on the aircraft when it went missing over the Channel Islands last month.

FootyNews would like to send out its condolences to the families and friends of Mr Sala and Mr Ibbotson during this difficult time.
