European Transfer Rumours: Manchester United, Celtic, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus
Transfer Rumours Indicate Lukaku Close to Inter Move
The Metro, via Gazzetta dello Sport, are reporting that Romelu Lukaku is on the verge of joining Inter Milan. The report claims that the Manchester United striker has already agreed terms. However, a fee is yet to be agreed. Lukaku had been rumoured to be leaving after falling out of favour with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Lukaku has stated that he is a “big fan” of Serie A and new Inter boss Antonio Conte. The former Chelsea manager is looking to make big changes, despite Inter qualifying for next seasons Champions League. Lukaku almost signed for Conte when the Italian was at Chelsea but opted for United instead. Since signing, the Belgian has
scored 42 goals in two seasons in all competitions.
Lyon Enter Race for Celtic Star
French side Lyon are set to join the race to sign Celtic’s Olivier Ntcham. David Friel of the Scottish Sun claims that Lyon have joined Porto and Marseille in the hunt for the midfielder. All three are preparing £12 million bids for the 23-year-old.
New Lyon manager Sylvinho is looking to bolster his midfield. He sees Ntcham as the ideal addition. Ntcham only signed a four-year contract in November. This gives Celtic greater bargaining in any deal made. The former Manchester City player was linked with Porto in January; however, it appears that Celtic are willing to cash in at the right price.
Dortmund Interested in Arsenal Captain
The Mirror are reporting that Borussia Dortmund are interested in Laurent Koscielny. The 33-year-old Gunners captain has 12 months left on his current contract and could leave this summer. Should the defender move on, Arsenal will demand around £10 million.
The report suggests that Koscielny is not interested in negotiating a new contract, preferring to seek a new challenge. Dortmund can offer Champions League football next season where Arsenal qualified for the Europa League after finishing fifth in the Premier League.
Juventus Keen on Rabiot
Paris Saint-Germain’s French international Adrien Rabiot has held talks with Juventus. Sky Sports are reporting that Rabiot could leave PSG after seven years in Paris. A refusal to sign a new contract saw him dropped last season. A move to Barcelona during the transfer window also fell through.
The 24-year-old has also been linked with Manchester United; however, it now appears that the Juventus are favourites. Rabiot has played 240 times for PSG, earning several caps for the French national side.
