FIFA 19 Predicts Frank Lampard's First Season In Charge At Chelsea

Frank Lampard has succeeded Maurizio Sarri as the new Chelsea manager on a three-year deal.

The Blues received permission last Tuesday to hold talks with the ex-Derby County boss, 41, and confirmed his appointment to the managerial post today.

But the Chelsea legend faces no easy task at Stamford Bridge as he takes over from Sarri, who left the club to succeed Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus.

Chelsea were unable to hold on to Belgian superstar Eden Hazard, 28, after he completed his dream move to Real Madrid.

And the Blues have been slapped with a two-window transfer ban from FIFA for breaching regulations regarding minors.

Aside from Mateo Kovačić’s permanent move from Madrid to Chelsea, the club will be restricted in bringing in any new players ahead of the new season.

FootyNews used FIFA 19 to predict how well Lampard fairs during his first season in charge at Chelsea.

Welcome back to Chelsea, Lampard!

During his time at Derby, Lampard admitted that 4-3-3 was his preferred formation for his starting XI.

“It [4-3-3] would be my preferred system, without a doubt, but I want us to be flexible. I don’t want it to be set in stone,” he said.

“It is important to look at the attributes of the players because to play 4-3-3 without wingers would be ridiculous.”

Well, the ex-Derby boss has adopted that system for his Chelsea side and has Christian Pulisic in the frontline alongside Olivier Giroud and Pedro.

Chelsea have been added to the Champions League for this FIFA 19 experiment, but all of the Premier League teams remain the same as last season.

And the fixture order remains the same as last season — that was simply out of our hands — and Hazard decided to turn down a move to Madrid in favour of a transfer to Barcelona.
