France Players Singing 'La Maison' Song With 80k Fans Is Still Great
One year ago today, France beat Croatia in the FIFA World Cup final and as a result, the most iconic video of all time was born.
Featuring rap artist Vegedream, the likes of N’Golo Kante, Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba danced around the Stade de France as the official World Cup song ‘Ramenez La Coupe a La Maison’ was played.
The home of French football then erupted into a cauldron of noise when Kante was lifted on the shoulders of Blaise Matuidi and Benjamin Mendy.
The happiest man on the planet was given his just rewards after a sensational tournament.
The nicest bloke in football held his arms in the air and the world smiled along with every single member of that France team.
It remains one of the happiest moments in football history.
Kanté played a huge role in France’s exploits at the tournament, so it’s not surprising that his French teammates wanted to let the midfielder have his moment in the spotlight.
The entire squad surrounded the Chelsea midfielder for the just-as-catchy Kanté song.
“N’Golo Kanté, pala lalala, he’s short, he’s nice, he stopped Leo Messi, but we all know he’s a cheater, N’Golo Kanté.”
One of the best moments of last summer’s World Cup came after France had beaten Croatia 4-2 in the final.
The players were celebrating with the trophy in front of a group of photographers, but Kante wasn’t one of them.
His teammate Steven N’Zonzi had to ask Florian Thauvin to let the former Leicester City player be next.
Never change, N’Golo.
