Guardiola Gives Passionate Lecture To Sterling After FA Cup Final
Pep Guardiola’s relentless pursuit of excellence was perfectly epitomised in his post-match lecture with Raheem Sterling.
But, despite his goal-scoring heroics, Sterling was lectured by Guardiola who issued a passionate message to him following City’s FA Cup victory.
“Raheem is one of the reasons we have done what we have done, but in the first half he did not play well. He lost easy balls. Everybody can improve, I’m the first one who can, I ask staff to push me,” Guardiola said about Sterling.
City are now the first male English team to win a domestic treble. His side won the Premier League title on the final day of the season, while securing the League Cup in February and of course clinching the FA Cup on Saturday.
Guardiola, meanwhile, is now the most decorated active coach in world football with an impressive 27 trophies to his name.
The Spaniard has won pretty much everything on offer during his illustrious managerial career.
