La Liga president Javier Tebas has slammed the idea of Neymar making a stunning return to the Spanish league.

The Paris Saint-Germain superstar, 27, is reportedly ready to exit the club in the summer and Barcelona are exploring ways of bringing him back to the Camp Nou.

But Tebas, 56, would not welcome Neymar’s return back to the league due to his behaviour.

“I prefer that Neymar does not return to Barça,” the La Liga president told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.

“We always want to bring great players, but in the case of Neymar that behaviour is not good for the competition because, in the end, the news is if the player has done this or that.

“We have worked a lot in La Liga to maintain the values and we don’t want to change the image.

“He can be a great player, but the behaviour is very important in the values we transmit in the competition.”

And it’s not the first time that the Brazil international has been criticised for his ‘celebrity behaviour.’

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, 45, fired out a warning to Neymar and his teammates that the French champions would clamp down on their behaviour.

“Players will have to assume their responsibilities even more than before. It must be completely different,” the Qatari businessman told France Football.

“They will have to do more, work more. They are not there to please themselves.

“And if they do not agree, the doors are open. Ciao! I do not want to have any celebrity behaviour anymore.”

But Al-Khelaifi made it clear that Neymar knew exactly what he was getting into when he left Barcelona and signed for PSG.

“Nobody forced him to sign. Nobody forced him to. He came with a fully understanding of the cause to sign up to a project,” he explained.

The ex-Barcelona ace is reportedly on the hunt for a new house in Barcelona and recent reports have claimed that he’s already agreed to a five-year deal with the Spanish champions.
