Lincoln Fans Bring Inflatable Penises To Away Game Against Notts
Lincoln City fans brought inflatable penises to their away game against Notts County in League Two today as a tribute to Magpies chairman Alan Hardy.
Last week, the 54-year old had a right old cock-up on social media when he was trying to make a point of how fickle football fans can be these days and it ended very badly.
Hardy posted two screenshots of tweets he received from from the same Notts County fan – one was a Merry Christmas message and the second was him being told how he’s ruining the club.
But the businessman experienced a nightmare Sunday morning as a very intimate picture on his camera roll was visible at the bottom of the screenshot, with the tweet swiftly deleted by Hardy, who escaped FA Punishment for his x-rated post.
Incredibly, he later announced he was putting the club up for sale but denied it had anything to do with him accidentally posting a picture of his schlong.
And travelling Imps fans decided to poke fun by purchasing inflatable penises and penises masks for their trip to Meadow Lane in the top vs bottom clash.
The stewards searching the fans as they made their way into the ground must have been very, very confused and a little worried.
But the purpose isn’t merely to poke fun of Hardy, with fans doing it in order to raise awareness and money for the fight against prostate cancer.
Speaking ahead of the stunt, Imps fan Jack Mulhall told Lincolnshire Live: “We hope to raise not only money but some much needed awareness. Hopefully Alan Hardy will forgive the mass of inflatables on Saturday.”
