Real Madrid have no desire to stop their pursuit of Eden Hazard after reports suggest that the club are preparing to make Chelsea a new offer.

The 28-year-old Belgian winger is out of contract next season and the Premier League side are struggling to strike up a new deal with him.

According to the Daily Mail, Los Blancos would make an offer to Chelsea that they could have a pick of one of two players as part of a deal for Hazard.

The newspaper reports that the Spanish club would offer the Blues, should they choose, the opportunity to sign Gareth Bale, whose future at Madrid remains uncertain and has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

Another player that could also be an option for Chelsea would be James Rodríguez, who is currently out on loan at Bayern Munich.

However, the reigning Bundesliga champions have the option to keep hold of the 27-year-old Colombian attacking midfielder should they pay Madrid €35m at the end of the season.

Of course, any player offer from Madrid would depend on Chelsea getting their transfer ban overturned, in which they have already launched an appeal to UEFA.

While Chelsea are holding out for an offer worth more than £100m from the reigning Champions League holders, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri recently admitted that he would respect the Belgium international’s decision to leave Stamford Bridge.

“If Eden wants another experience, it’s very difficult to keep him,” he told Sky Sports.

“Eden played a wonderful match [against West Ham United]. When he is able to play like this, we are lucky because it is easy to win.

“£100m is too cheap in this market — we have seen in the last windows every price.

“The club agrees with me [about wanting to keep Hazard].

“We are trying to improve. We are trying to become one of the best teams in England and, as a consequence, in Europe — but I think I have to respect his decision.”
