Maurizio Sarri Arrives In Turin Looking Like A GTA Loading Screen
Maurizio Sarri has touched down in Turin to begin his journey with Juventus.
The 60-year-old stepped off a private plane, looking like a majestic Grand Theft Auto character, before heading to the Continassa training ground at around 7pm local time.
This has to be the new GTA 6 cover, right?
Sarri was then presented to the media in a press conference that lasted just over an hour, according to reports.
He revealed his delight at becoming the new Juventus manager, saying it was the “crowning achievement” of his career so far:
“At Napoli I gave my all, then I decided to have a great experience in the Premier League. Juve are the best Italian club right now and offered me a chance to return to Italy. It’s the crowning achievement of a long career.
“I have never seen so much determination on the part of a club to hire a coach. They had a great attitude which convinced me, they were very strong feelings.”
Sarri was then given a tour of the Allianz Arena, as well as the home dressing room, on his first day as Juventus manager.
The former Napoli boss replaces Max Allegri after the six-time Serie A winner decided to step down as manager.
Sarri opted to leave the Premier League after just a season, with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia revealing the former Hellas Verona coach wanted to be closer to his family.
“Maurizio leaves Chelsea with thanks from us all for the work he and his assistants did during the season he spent as our head coach, and for winning the Europa League, guiding us to another cup final and a third-place finish in the Premier League,” a statement on the Chelsea website read.
“We would also like to congratulate him on securing the role as big as any in Serie A and to wish him the best of luck for the future.”
Do you think Sarri will win silverware with Juventus this season?
