Gogglebox was back to brighten Friday night with plenty more opinions to be had this week.

But as the Channel 4 families got stuck into Teen First Dates, BBC News and much more, some viewers were distracted.

Fans took to Twitter as they noticed a couple of changes to the Siddiqui family.

The Siddiquis have been part of the Gogglebox cast since the very first series in 2013 with dad Sid, and his sons Baasit and Umar.

However, taking to social media on Friday night, one asked: “Is there a new Siddiqui on the sofa or has he lost weight and got a new doo? #Gogglebox.”

Another said: “@C4Gogglebox tryna slip in a sneaky new Siddiqui and hope we wouldn’t notice #Gogglebox.”

“Is this a new Siddiqui brother? #Gogglebox,” a third asked.

There’s no need for fans to be too confused though as some may be familiar with Sid’s son Raza, who sometimes appears on the show.

Others watching the latest episode were also relieved by another change.

“@C4Gogglebox pleased to see @baasitsiddiqui back in his rightful position on the sofa, it was very off-putting having him pushed over to the left !!! #siddiqui #Gogglebox,” tweeted one.

Another said: “Normal service has resumed in the Siddiqui house this week. Sid is back sitting on the right chair #Gogglebox.”

“Thank God Bassett and Sid are back in their usual seats! Last week was stressful! #Gogglebox,” a third added.
