Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called out Joe Biden’s comments as “not fitting of a president.” During a TV interview on March 17, Mr Biden, 78, agreed with a statement suggesting the Russian president is a “killer”.
Mr Biden’s comment came after US intelligence agencies claimed Russia influenced the 2020 election.
“Mr Biden’s comment about Putin does not suit a head of state,” Mr Erdogan said on Friday.
He also added that the comments are “unacceptable”.
Mr Erdogan has not yet formally sat down with the US president since he took office in January.

“And as a result we evaluate [a person’s] actions and give assessments.”
Mr Erdogan applauded the Russian president’s response, hailing it as a “smart” and “classy response.”
Despite tensions over the Syrian war, Mr Erdogan has hailed Putin as a “friend and strategic partner.”
Since the spat between the Russian and US presidents, Putin has extended an olive branch to Mr Biden in the form of a phone call so discuss ongoing regional conflicts and the coronavirus pandemic.
