A busy Greater Manchester Police Specials patrol had to deal with two incidents at the same time on Sunday night.
The specials car was dealing with one incident on Somerset Road in Droylsden after 9pm which was interrupted by a speeding driver.
The police patrol broke off and intercepted the speeding suspect, who has been arrested for a string of offences including:
- Possession with intent to supply of 14 bags of Class B drug cannabis
- Testing positive to cocaine and cannabis whilst driving following a roadside drugs test
- Driving whilst not insured
The car was seized and towed away by Greater Manchester Police and the suspect was remanded in custody pending charges.
GMP Specials tweeted at 10.31pm: “Somedays it’s one job after anotherWhile dealing with an incident on #SomersetRoad in @GMPTamesideN a came speeding around the corner.
“Driver failed a roadside drugs test (Cocaine AND Cannabis) with 14 bags of cannabis in the car & no insurance!”
