United Manager Solskjaer Will Earn More Than Liverpool's Klopp
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly on an annual salary of £7.5 million, which makes him the third highest-paid manager in the Premier League.
Only Pep Guardiola (£15 million) and Mauricio Pochettino (£8.5 million) are raking in more cash than him.
So, Solskjaer is on a higher wage package than the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Unai Emery and Maurizio Sarri.
HIGHEST-PAID PREMIER LEAGUE MANAGERS:
Guardiola – £15 million
Pochettino – £8.5 million
Solskjaer – £7.5 million
Klopp – £7 million
Emery – £6 million
Sarri – £5.15 million
His predecessor, Jose Mourinho, was pocketing a cool £15 million a year.
Meanwhile, the 46-year-old was confirmed as United manager yesterday. He penned a three-year deal after a spectacular spell in charge as caretaker boss.
The job is now his on a full-time basis and he’s excited to lead the club long-term.
“From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club,” said Solskjær. “It was an honour to be a Manchester United player, and then to start my coaching career here.
“The last few months have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all of the coaches, players and staff for the work we’ve done so far.
“This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I’m beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long-term and hopefully deliver the continued success that our amazing fans deserve.”
