Lacazette a Barcelona Target

Barry Glenndening of the Guardian is reporting that Barcelona are interested in Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette. The Gunners look set to miss out on a Champions League place via their league position and could lose their 18-goal striker. Their recent draw with Brighton appears to have ended their hopes of a top-four finish.

Barcelona are keen on Lacazette and his fellow countryman Antoine Griezmann. The Spanish champions are prioritising bolstering their attack this summer with the Frenchmen top of their list. A fee of around £70 million could be enough to tempt Arsenal and the player.

Italian Duo to do Battle over Tierney

Celtic’s Kieran Tierney is a target for Italian giants Inter Milan and Napoli writes Tom Hopkinson of The Daily Mirror. The 21-year-old is a highly-rated left-back and has been monitored by many big clubs recently. Celtic will be hoping to keep hold of the Scottish international; however, with clubs such as Napoli and Inter circling, it could prove difficult.

Tierney, who has four years left on his current contract, had been linked with Leicester City. His old boss Brendan Rodgers had seen him as an ideal replacement should Ben Chilwell leave. However, it now appears that Chilwell will remain, leaving the two Italian giants to do battle.

Fernandes Set for Manchester

Sky Sports News are reporting that Manchester City are closing in on Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes. A fee believed to be between £50 and £60 million is currently being discussed. It is also believed that Fernandes is keen on a move.

Attacking midfielder Fernandes, has had an exceptional season so far in all competitions. He has scored a very impressive 31 goals, which include a 14-minute hat-trick recently, and provided 17 assists. The highly-rated 24-year-old could be the successor to the ageing Fernandinho.

Sarri Wants Striker to Stay

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is keen to keep striker Gonzalo Higuain at the club. Goal.com have reported that Sarri has called on Chelsea to make the Argentinian’s loan move permanent. The striker has scored five goals in 16 appearances since joining in January.

Chelsea’s Italian manager knows Higuain well from their time together at Napoli. Sarri has been sufficiently impressed by the strikers form during his time in England to believe he can be a huge success. Sarri believes that should Higuain stay, Chelsea can compete for the Premier League title and other trophies.
