Manchester United Suffer Worst Defeat Of The Season Against Everton

Manchester United Suffer Worst Defeat Of The Season Against Everton - FootyNews.co.uk

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be at the wheel, but how good does it really feel for Manchester United fans, this afternoon?

They travelled to Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon with the intentions of making up for that Champions League defeat at Barcelona in mid-week.

But they were stuck in first gear throughout as Everton ran riot against a lethargic and uninspiring United side.

It was a first half to forget for Paul Pogba and co. Richarlison opened the scoring in the 13th minute, then Gylfi Sigurdsson, who was outstanding in large spells, made it two within the half hour mark.

Solskjaer’s half time team talk clearly didn’t have much of an impact as full-back Lucas Digne bagged in the 56th minute before Theo Walcott made it 4-0.

This fan was close to tears as he watched on from the stands.

It was a disaster from start to finish for Manchester United as they look unlikely to secure a top four spot after this afternoon’s abysmal performance.

Here’s how social media reacted to the result:

Thoughts on Manchester United‘s current situation? Do they need to spend big in the summer transfer window?
