United Fans Are Heartbroken After PSG List Ander Herrera’s Shirt

Manchester United fans have stormed social media with their disappointment after Ander Herrera’s Paris Saint-Germain shirt was accidentally listed online.

The ex-United star, 29, left Old Trafford after his contract expired at the end of the season and the French champions have been the favourites to snap him up on a free.

And PSG were left red-faced when Herrera’s shirt was listed on the club’s online store before it was swiftly removed.

But that didn’t stop eagle-eyed fans from taking screenshots of the page.

The Spaniard will apparently wear the No. 21 shirt and it will be priced at €140.00.

Many Red Devils supporters wanted the ex-Athletic Bilbao man to remain at United and have expressed their disappointment on Twitter.

United announced in May that Herrera, now a free agent, would leave the club and the Spain international sent out a heartfelt message to the fans.

“There is red in my heart,” he said.

“I knew it from the first time I played here and in the moment I started to wear it.

“A club with thousands of fans that respect and remember all the players who give everything.

“I felt special when I heard my name chanted.

“I felt proud when the fans decided I was part of the club’s history.

“Every time I represented this club, in every game, when I couldn’t help from the grass, I understood what this club means.

“I am going to remember each of the almost 200 matches that I have played with this jersey.

“Because playing for the greatest club in England has been a huge honour.

“Thanks for these amazing five years.”

Herrera arrived in Manchester in 2014 following his €36m move from Bilbao.

And the former Real Zaragoza player lifted one EFL Cup, one FA Cup and one Europa League during his time with the Red Devils.

He was also named United’s Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for the 2016-17 season.

Should United have offered Herrera a new contract?
